David Murdoch and his team met Germany in their third round game and this was never going to be an easy one.
And so it proved, both teams excelled themselves with their shot play but Germany did look the more dominant team, they led by two shots after six ends.
But some great play got Scotland back into the game with a two in end eight and a single in the ninth. That put them in the lead by one.
Murdoch with his last stone drew to his own shot but it wasn't quite frozen. Germany's Andy Kapp made a brilliant double take out to lie two and game.
