It was somewhat ususual to be spending a weekend at Skip Cottage rather than traversing the country looking for a good curling final to watch. But such are deadlines which need to be met. The December Scottish Curler goes to press tomorrow!
Still, the Scottish Curler team were on the case. Christine and Hugh Stewart covered the Royal Club's Province Championships at Greenacres. Kilsyth CC representing Stirling Province were the winners, shown in the photo above with Tommy Hinnigan, the Royal Club President. L-R Neil Murray (2nd), Billy Johnston (3rd), John Davie (skip) and Billy Beattie (lead).
Robin Wilson was on station at the ROK Highland Junior International at Inverness. This brought success for the Glen Muirhead team (for the third week in a row) who beat Jamie Dick's side in the final. L-R Glen Muirhead (skip), Scott Macleod (3rd), Scott Andrews (2nd) and Gordon McDougall (lead).
Thanks to Christine, Hugh and Robin reports of both events will be in the December magazine.
