The Lanarkshire Ice Rink, Hamilton, celebrated its 40th birthday party last Saturday. Representatives from all the clubs that use the facility, past presidents, and directors were there to enjoy a bonspiel over three sessions, masterminded by manager Lockhart Steele who is of course World Senior Curling Champion as third for Keith Prentice. Lockhart, and fifth player Archie Craig, were both recognised on the day.
The birthday cake was cut by one of the original directors, Andrew Wilson.
